Hole frontman Courtney Love is finally closing in on a time frame to release new music. Albeit not a full album, the singer has announced that she’s expected to release two new songs sometime this December.

Love says she’s pretty happy with what she’s created with the new tunes. “[The first track is] called ‘Wedding Day’…and then the B-side is called ‘California,’ which, if you’re gonna call a song ‘California,’ you better know it’s . . . good, and it is,” she told Rolling Stone.

As for a full album, Love explained that while she’s been working hard on a collection of new songs to the follow-up to her 2004 debut solo release, “America’s Sweetheart,” only a few of the tracks are coming out as well as she envisioned thus far. “There are two other songs that are excellent out of the 12 we’ve recorded,” she said. “So four songs so far, but I’m really picky, and I need an impeccable record at this point. We can do it really quick, so probably after this tour we’ll start recording.”

The singer is currently on the road on her “I’m Still Alive Tour,” playing an array of Love material, rare tracks and some random covers. For a full list of Love’s upcoming tour dates, visit Ticketmaster’s website.
