Alter Bridge Announce New Album, ‘Fortress’
Alter Bridge will release their upcoming studio set, ‘Fortress,’ in October
New music from Alter Bridge is on the way. The Myles Kennedy-fronted rockers have announce the title and release date for their upcoming, fourth studio album.
“Fortress” will arrive on Oct. 8. As for the sound, guitarist Mark Tremonti says the new release is the band’s most “unpredictable and exciting” yet.
“When we started pre-production on this album, we pushed ourselves harder and further than we ever have previously in order to make the most out of every individual arrangement,” Tremonti said in an official statement. “We wanted this album to be our most unpredictable and exciting one yet. From the early feedback we have received, it looks like we have achieved what we set out to do.”
Alter Bridge have yet to announce the full track listing for “Fortress,” but they have announced a few song titles, including “Bleed It Dry,” “Cry of Achilles,” “Farther Than the Sun” and “All Ends Well.”
Right now, Alter Bridge have only one U.S. concert on the horizon: Oct. 4 at the House of Blues in Orlando, Fla. The group also has a European tour up ahead, alongside Shinedown and Halestorm. With the new album on the horizon, chances are the band will announce more North American tour dates down the road.
