Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Crowded House’s Neil Finn to Appear on Hunters & Collectors Tribute Set
The upcoming Hunters & Collectors tribute album will feature rockers covering songs from the famed Australian group
Several notable rockers are set to contribute songs to an upcoming album paying tribute to Hunters & Collectors. Namely, Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder, Crowded House frontman Neil Finn and Birds of Tokyo are among the artists helping out with the collection.
“Crucible: The Songs of Hunters & Collectors” will feature 15 songs and various musicians putting their personal spins on songs by the popular Australian rock group. Vedder and Finn cover the band’s song “Throw Your Arms Around Me” for the set, while Birds of Tokyo perform their rendition of “Talking to a Stranger.” View the full track listing below.
Look for “Crucible: The Songs of Hunters & Collectors” to arrive on Sept. 27 via Liberation Music, which is part of a division of Michael Gudinski’s Mushroom Group.
“I, along with the cream of great musicians from all around this country and beyond, have been given a wonderful opportunity to come together and pay our respects,” Gudinski said in an official statement. “And what an utterly amazing legacy it is, revisited and reinterpreted by their admirers more than 30 years from where it began and for the generations of music fans that will follow.”
