Pearl Jam Bass Player Jeff Ament to Appear on ‘Sweet Relief III’ Charity Album
Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament is one of many artists lending their talents to the ‘Sweet Relief III’ benefit album
Pearl Jam bass player Jeff Ament is one of the many musicians set to appear on the third Sweet Relief benefit album. The “Sweet Relief III: Pennies from Heaven” compilation album, out this Tuesday (Sept. 2), features a collection of artists performing cover songs with themes of support and help.
Ament lends his bass playing talents to Joseph Arthur’s cover of “If I Needed You,” originally performed by Townes Van Zandt. Other artists appearing on the set include She & Him, Jackson Browne, Ben Harper, k.d. lang, Sam Phillips, Ron Sexsmith and Victoria Williams, to name a few. View the full track listing below.
Popular art painter Peter Max created the cover art for “Sweet Relief III: Pennies from Heaven.”
Sales from this album will go towards the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which gives funding to musicians in need of financial help due to illness or other issues.
