Shinedown plotting stripped-down tour following their run on Carnival of Madness

Shinedown are currently headlining the Carnival of Madness Tour, played to packed amphitheaters across the country, but the band is looking ahead and plotting a very stripped-down adventure following the tour. According guitarist Zach Myers, Shinedown’s next tour will be a storyteller-style show that mixes the band’s performances with intimate discussions about the stories behind their songs.

“I think we are doing a tour called Anything and Everything, which is more like a Storytellers tour where you get to come and watch this band in their element just playing songs and telling you the stories behind them,” Myers told InsideSTL.com. “It is just a really cool vibe for a tour in a theater-type setting, and you sit down and listen to a band for 2 hours tell you stories of how these songs were created and play them for you in their rawest form possible. It is one of my favorite types of tours we have ever done, so I am excited for it.”

Myers also stated that the group is already thinking ahead to their follow-up to 2012’s Amaryllis. “There (have) been some talks about maybe starting to write a new record at some point next year so we are looking forward to that,” he said. “We are very excited about what the future will bring.”
