Seether prepping two-disc retrospective featuring a cover of Veruca Salt’s ‘Seether,’ hits, B-sides and three new songs

Seether have announced that they will unleash a special, 27-song, two-disc career retrospective, “Seether 2002-2013,” on Oct. 29. In addition to the collection of hit tunes from the band’s catalog, the set will also feature three new tracks the band recorded this year.

“Well, it’s official… We are ‘one of those’ bands,” the group said in a joint statement. “We are at a point in our journey that we have decided to bookend this era of our career with our upcoming Greatest Hits release ‘Seether: 2002-2013.’”

They added, “When we were given the task of assembling the track listing… we knew it wasn’t going to be easy. But, believe it or not, we are also fans of the band and wanted to approach it with what would “we – a Seether fan” like to hear in a ‘Seether Greatest Hits.’”

The set features Seether’s all of the band’s No. 1 singles, including “Remedy,” “Fake It,” “No Resolution,” “Country Song” and “Rise Above This.” The collection will also feature additional Seether chart-toppers, B-sides and the three new songs. The band also recorded a cover of the 1994 Veruca Salt hit “Seether,” which served as the origin for Seether’s name. The cover tune will be the album’s debut single.

Seether will tour in support of “Seether 2002-2013” this fall, and for a full list of upcoming tour dates, visit the band’s official website.
