Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Hesitation Marks’ Takes No. 3 Spot on Billboard 200 Chart

Nine Inch Nails’ latest release, ‘Hesitation Marks,’ debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 Chart this week

Nine Inch Nails fans can rest easy that Trent Reznor and company have landed a cozy spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The group’s new studio album, “Hesitation Marks,” entered the chart at No. 3 this week, pushing 107,000 copies, according to numbers from Nielsen SoundScan.

In comparison to this week’s showing, Nine Inch Nails’ 2007 album, “Year Zero,” landed at No. 2 on the chart, pushing 187,000 copies in its debut week. The band’s independently-released 2008 albums, “The Slip” and “Ghosts I-IV,” only sold 29,000 and 26,000 unties their debut weeks out, respectively.

In touring news, Nine Inch Nails are set to take the haunting tunes off “Hesitation Marks” on the road with the Tension 2013 tour, which will also feature Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Gary Numan and Autolux on select dates. The tour begins Sept. 28 in St. Paul, Minn., and will travel through major cities such as Detroit, Cleveland, Orlando, Nashville, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and beyond.
