Dave Grohl is the king of rock, but he’s not usually involved in the country music scene. Well, that’s about the change, as the Foo Fighters frontman has announced he will perform at the 47th Annual Country Music Association Awards.
Grohl won’t be performing alone at the show. According to producers for the Country Music Awards, Grohl will rock the stage with Grammy Award-winning country group Zac Brown Band. Moreover, this is a step that the awards show is making to continue in its tradition of presenting unique collaborations at the event.
“The CMA Awards are renowned for presenting those one-of-a-kind collaborations that everyone is talking about the next day,” CMA Board of Directors President Ed Hardy said in a statement. “This year is no exception and these unique collaborations are not to be missed.”
The Country Music Awards will take place Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Bridgestone Area in Nashville. The show will broadcast light at 8 p.m. EST on ABC that evening.
