Jack White Tribute Album to Arrive Next Week
Jack White’s hits get makeovers in a new tribute album, ‘Rockin’ Legends Pay Tribute to Jack White’
Jack White is quite the prolific songwriter, as he has penned and performed tunes with the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, the Dead Weather and more. Now, the musician’s body of work will be honored in an upcoming tribute album, “Rockin’ Legends Pay Tribute to Jack White,” set to hit stores on Nov. 19.
“Rockin’ Legends Pay Tribute to Jack White” will feature 14 songs, including songs performed by white and the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and cuts from his solo album, “Blunderbuss.” The release also features a collection of famed musician performing the songs, spanning several different genres.
Some of the artists appearing on the set include Wanda Jackson, Joe Clay, Sonny Burgess, Johnny Powers, Gary U.S. Bonds, Bobby Vee and Shooter Jennings, to name a few. Songs include such White hits as “Seven Nation Army,” “Fell in Love with a Girl” and “Steady as She Goes.” Check out the full track list below.
In advance of the release, Jackson and Jennings’ cover of the White Stripes’ “In the Cold, Cold Night” is now streaming via Rolling Stone’s official website.
