Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 and Angels and Airwaves has penned his first children’s book

Blink-182 and Angels and Airwaves’ Tom DeLonge has released something that might appeal to the kids of Blink-182 fans. DeLonge has joined forces with artist Mike Henry to create a new children’s book called “The Lonely Astronaut on Christmas Eve.”

The singer and guitarist says the book revolves around “a rocketeer alone on the moon on a cold Christmas night, and the gift he receives from a few unexpected (and extraterrestrial) friends.”

The first edition of “The Lonely Astronaut on Christmas Eve” is currently available as part of a limited-edition “Lonely Astronaut Christmas Package” via the Angels and Airwaves website. The package includes a hardcover copy of the book’ a certificate of authenticity signed by DeLonge; a digital download of the read for the iPad, Nook or Kindle; a limited-edition t-shirt; and a ‘Lonely Astronaut” clear acrylic ornament.

Those looking for something really impressive may want to bid for DeLonge’s exclusive package benefiting the San Diego’s Rady Children’s Hospital. That package packs all 22 pages of signed original art from the children’s book, a DeLonge autographed guitar and a meet-and-greet with DeLonge. That package is currently up for auction via Charity Buzz.
