311 launch pre-order for upcoming album, featuring the chance to win autographed goodies

311 are giving fans an added incentive to purchase the band’s upcoming studio release, “Stereolithic.” The Nebraska-based alternative rockers have started an account on the Pledge Music website, a place where people can pledge money for creative endeavors and give away prizes to fans who pre-order the album.

Fans that pledge $10 will score a download of “Stereolithic” when it arrives on March 11 and be entered into a contest in which they can win a collection of 311-themed goodies. A few of the prizes up for grabs include a drum head autographed by each band member, backstage passes to meet the band at a 2014 show and handwritten lyrics of the song of your choice right from from 311’s Nick Hexum and Doug “SA” Martinez. The top prize is a Tim Mahoney signature series Paul Reed Smith SE guitar autographed by the band.

In other news, 311 will perform at their annual 311 Day concert on March 11, the same day “Stereolithic” hits stores, at the New Orleans Arena. As for “Stereolithic,” the album is the band’s first release on its own label, 311 Records. The release will also feature production from Scotch Ralston, who also produced 311’s “Transistor” and “Soundsystem” albums.
