Linkin Park, Green Day, Alice in Chains Offer Items for Typhoon Haiyan Charity Auction
Linkin Park are spearheading an auction to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan
Typhoon Haiyan tore through the Philippines last November, devastating parts of Southeast Asia and ultimately being named the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record. Now, members of Linkin Park, Alice in Chains, Green Day and others are offering up exclusive items for auction to help victims of the terrorizing typhoon.
Music for Relief, which is Linkin Park’s longstanding charity organization, is spearheading the auction. To help get out the word about the auction, the guys of Linkin Park are offering an incentive: Share a message about the auction on your Facebook page or Twitter account, and you’ll automatically be entered in a contest to score a Porsche Design P’9982 Blackberry signed by every Linkin Park member.
Other items up for auction include a custom Gibson Les Paul Jr. electric guitar autographed by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Fender acoustic guitar signed by Alice in Chains bass player Mike Inez, a Squire Fender P-Bass signed by former Guns N’ Roses bass player Duff McKagan and an electric guitar autographed by Linkin Park. Guitarist Brad Delson played the Linkin Park guitar in the group’s music video for “Burn It Down.”
The Typhoon Haiyan charity auction runs through Jan. 23. For more information or to place a bid, visit the Charity Buzz website.
