Disturbed: ‘You’re Not Going to See Disturbed Tour for a While’
Disturbed Say Mayhem May Mark the End of U.S. Shows
As if fans needed yet another reason to hit up the 2011 Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival featuring Disturbed, Megadeth, Machine Head, Trivium, In Flames and more, now Disturbed is saying this is likely their last round of North American shows for a while. Frontman David Draiman, according to Blabbermouth, says the metal band will not headline a sixth “Music as a Weapon” tour in 2012. In fact, the men of Disturbed don’t know what they’re future will hold.
“We don’t know what we’re doing … This is gonna be the last tour that the American people get to see us in for a while, if not indefinitely,” he said. “We have some things going on internally; we have some personal things going on. So I don’t know. It’s hard to tell… But you’re not gonna see a Disturbed tour for a while.”
Sad!
Draiman didn’t explain what he meant by “personal” issues, but he did mention Disturbed could lease out the moniker, “Music as a Weapon,” for other bands to use.
The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival runs through Aug. 14 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
