Bush are working on their follow-up to 2011’s ‘Sea of Memories’ in Dave Grohl’s stomping grounds

This December will mark the 20th anniversary of Bush’s debut album “Sixteen Stone,” but Gavin Rossdale and company have new music on the mind. Rossdale and the guys of Bush are currently working on new music in Dave Grohl’s 606 Studios in Northridge, Calif., that will comprise their follow-up to 2011’s “Sea of Memories.”

Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz is working with Bush on the new songs. Raskulinecz is best known for his work with a similar trail of rockers, including Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Rush and Deftones.

No release date or album title has been announced yet, a press release from the band indicates they’re putting the “finishing touches” on the album, meaning it’s close to ready.

Rossdale and his wife, No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, just had their third son, Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, on Feb. 28. They also have Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5.

Bush’s musical catalog includes ‘90s rock radio hits such as “Glycerine,” “Machinehead” and “Comedown.”
