Former White Stripes frontman Jack White will release his second solo album, ‘Lazaretto,’ in June

It’s official: Jack White’s sophomore solo album is coming. It’s been two years since White released his debut solo album, “Blunderbuss,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Now, his follow-up release, “Lazaretto,” will hit stores on June 10 via Third Man Records/Columbia. Expect to hear the first single debut later this month.

“Lazaretto” will arrive in a two different formats: a standard edition and as a limited-edition release for members of White’s Third Man Records Vault club. The special Vault version includes bonuses such as a blue-and-white vinyl pressing with album art, a poster illustrating a National Archives photo that appears in the album art, a 40-page hard bound lyrics book, exclusive photos, art and more.

On the music side of things, the Vault Package offers a 7-inch of two early demos of tracks that appear on the album, “Alone in My Home” and “Entitlement.” The former White Stripes frontman recorded both of those demos while he was in Mexico.

White is streaming a riff-heavy track off the release called “High Ball Stepper” on YouTube. Stream the song below.

So far, White is scheduled to play two big music festivals this year: Bonnaroo and the Governor’s Ball. Chances are he’ll book more dates in support of “Lazaretto” this year, but fans will recall he never did a widespread tour for his last solo album, so there’s no guarantee White will be one this time around.
