Smashing Pumpkins to Reissue ‘Adore’

The Smashing Pumpkins’ 1998 ‘Adore’ release is getting the reissue treatment
Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins recently announced that they’ve started recording new music, but that doesn’t mean they’ve completely forgotten their past. In fact, the band just announced that a huge reissue is planned of the group’s 1998 album, “Adore.”
A post on Smashing Pumpkins’ official website explains that “Adore” is scheduled to be reissued as a six-disc collection, featuring the original album in stereo, plus some added material, including the original album in mono, three discs of previously unreleased songs and a DVD with clips from the Smashing Pumpkins’ charity tour in 1998.
“We were able to go back and locate elements from the original sessions that were stored digitally, but never used,” Corgan said in a statement. “In that fresh mixes have been commissioned, shedding new light on not only the songs hidden foundations, but their futuristic nature as well.”
Look for the “Adore” reissue to arrive sometime this summer.
