Cage the Elephant to Release Live EP
Alternative rockers Cage the Elephant well unleash a new live EP on Oct. 7
Cage the Elephant have been kind of quiet as of late, but tonight (Sept. 5), they kick off a lengthy tour opening for fellow alternative music-makers the Black Keys. On top of the new shows, Cage the Elephant have announced they will release “The Live EP” on Oct. 7, featuring five songs recorded live in concert last May at Denver’s Ogden Theatre. The EP will come in the form of a digital download.
The songs available on the EP will include tracks from the group’s latest full-length, 2013’s “Melophobia,” plus a live recording of Cage the Elephant’s 2010 single, “Shake Me Down.”
Cage the Elephant’s tour with the Black Keys will take them through arenas across North America and run through a Sept. 28 at the United Center in Chicago. After those shows wrap up, the band has just a handful of gigs scheduled through the end of October. For a full list of Cage the Elephant’s upcoming shows, head to the band’s official website.
