Thousand Foot Krutch Announce 2014 ‘Born This Way Tour’
Thousand Foot Krutch will kick off a new tour on Oct. 7 in support of ‘OXYGEN:INHALE’
Christian rockers Thousand Foot Krutch have announced its “Born This Way Tour,” which is named for the band’s rock single, “Born This Way,” off the group’s latest full-length album, “OXYGEN:INHALE.” The tour will kick off Oct. 7 at Mojoes in Joliet, Ill., near Chicago, and take the guys through Minneapolis, Houston, Dallas and beyond before closing out Nov. 9 at Jake’s Backroom in Lubbock, Texas.
Other bands set to appear on select dates of the tour include We as Human, Like a Storm and Righteous Vendetta.
Thousand Foot Krutch frontman Trevor McNevan recently spoke with Audio Ink Radio about the theme behind “OKYGEN:INHALE.”
“Without trying, naturally, the theme became taking full breaths and living life to its fullest and living every day like it’s your last, by the way you treat people,” McNevan said. “It’s about that idea of a refreshing full breath of oxygen.”
McNevan says writing and recording the album was a smooth process. “It was an exciting record to make,” he said. “We did a lot of it at our studio in Nashville. I produced it with Aaron Sprinkle, a good friend of mine. We recorded it mostly in Nashville, but also in Toronto. There isn’t one definitive moment that sticks out; the whole process was amazing.”
