Foo Fighters are inching closer and closer to the release of their new album, “Sonic Highways.” Earlier this month, the guys released the debut single from the set, the anthemic “Something from Nothing,” and now, they’ve unleashed another new tune.

“The Feast and the Famine” is the latest song to come out of the Foo camp, and it features a faster, more old-school Foo Fighters vibe. “That night they were pulling for truth / Got on the corner of forty of you / They drink your soul and they drink it for fools / Two thousand winners, braving to schools / Now what’s a poor man left to do?” Grohl sings in the intro, buoyed by edgy, raw guitars and pounding rhythms.

While “Something from Nothing” was Chicago-inspired, “The Feast and Famine” centers around the Washington, D.C. episode of “Sonic Highways,” the HBO documentary television series that documents the recording process for the Foos’ new album. The band recorded “The Feast and the Famine” in Arlington, Va.’s Inner Ear Studio. Dave Grohl is from Virginia and got his start in the Washington D.C. ‘80s punk scene.

In other Foo Fighters news, the band just announced a Halloween night gig at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. Tickets will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. CT today (Oct. 29).

“The Feast and the Famine” will arrived Nov. 10 as part of the “Sonic Highways” album.
