Dave Grohl says his time with Them Crooked Vultures isn’t over

With new Foo Fighters music out this fall, Dave Grohl is keeping plenty busy. Still, he hasn’t forgotten about his supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, which consists of Grohl playing drums, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme on guitar and vocals and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones playing bass. The band released their debut album in 2009, but they haven’t done much since then. Grohl hasn’t given up on the group, though.

“I would love to make another [Them Crooked] Vultures record,” he told NME. “I think our biggest hurdle is just a logistic one, that the three of us are all pretty busy.”

Now, Grohl’s heavy metal side project Probot is a different story. “I get asked to do another Probot record all the time, but I can’t do it,” he said. “Those were my favorite singers.”

Probot’s only release arrived in 2004 and featured a range of guest singers, including actor and Tenacious D frontman Jack Black, Lemmy from Motörhead and Cronos from the metal band Venom.

As for Foo Fighters, the band is inching closer and closer to the relase of their new album. “Sonic Highways” will hit traditional stores and online outlets on Nov. 10.
