Five Finger Death Punch and Judas Priest to Tour Europe
Next summer will see Five Finger Death Punch and Judas Priest touring Europe together
Five Finger Death Punch and Judas Priest recently appeared on the same bill at the 2014 Louder than Life festival in Louisville, Ky. Now, the guys have announced a special, European tour together that will see Five Finger Death Punch opening for the Judas Priest Redeemer of Souls 2015 Tour, beginning next summer. The tour sets off in Helsinki, Finland, on June 4 and runs through a June 27 stop in Lodz, Poland.
“To come back to Europe with Judas Priest next year is taking it over the top and a dream come true. We’ve had a fantastic year in Europe and can’t wait to get back again next summer,” Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory said in a statement.
Five Finger are no stranger to Europe. The metal band headlined a European tour last spring and then returned to the U.S. for a fall North American tour with Volbeat. The band is also tight with Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford, who sings on Five Finger Death Punch’s hit single “Lift Me Up,” off the first edition of the group’s 2013 double album, “The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell.”
Halford and Five Finger Death Punch has performed “Lift Me Up” together a few times: once at the 2014 Revolver Golden God Awards in Los Angeles and the other during a gig Birmingham, England, also this year. This European tour will give them another opportunity to perform “Life Me Up” together, if they choose to do it.
