U2’s Bono, Coldplay’s Chris Martin to Appear on New Band Aid Single
New Band Aid single will benefit those fighting Ebola in Africa
A group of high-profile musicians are coming together to record a new version of the famed Band Aid single “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” The track, which arrived 30 years ago this month for the purpose of fighting famine in Africa, is getting a makeover with new lyrics to make it pertinent to the Ebola situation in Africa.
U2‘s Bono, Coldplay‘s Chris Martin and Queen’s Roget Taylor are among the rockers participating. Other artists set to appear on the song include Adele, One Direction, Olly Murs, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, Emeli Sande and Sinead O’Connor.
This is an extra special song for Bono. He’s the only artist participating who was featured on the first version of “Do They Know It’s Christmas?”
