U2 Announce 2015 Tour Dates
Bono and the guys of U2 have announced a lengthy tour for 2015
U2 are gearing up for a big 2015 tour. The legendary rock band has announced a tour for 2015, billed “The iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour,” that will see Bono and the guys performing in a slew of outdoor arenas.
The name of the tour comes from the band’s latest album, “Songs of Innocence,” and the name of the band’s upcoming album, “Songs of Experience.”
“We are going to try to have a completely different feeling from night one to night two,” Bono said in a statement. “And have some fun playing with the idea of innocence and experience. More to be revealed!”
Bono was recently involved in a bicycle accident in New York City’s Central Park, and his injuries were pretty severe, including a fractured left eye socket and a shattered left upper arm and shoulder blade. The tour kicks off in May, which will hopefully give him time to recover. Chances are, the tour will do well, as U2’s last trek, “U2-360°,” achieved the status of highest-grossing concert tour in history.
The trek will set off May 14, in Vancouver, BC, and run through November. Tickets for the dates are on sale this week.
UPDATE: Tickets for the first round of shows are already sold out. U2 has added additional tour dates to accomodate the demand. For more information and the newly-announced dates, visit the band’s official website.
