Fall Out Boy to Perform at Chicago’s Wrigley Field for Opening Night
Fall Out Boy will kick off Major League Baseball’s opening night game at Wrigley Field in Chicago
Fall Out Boy are from Chicago, so it’s fitting the guys have signed on to perform at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on April 5 for Major League Baseball’s opening night game between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals.
Fall Out Boy will play three songs live on the field before the game, which starts at 7 p.m. This is the first time the MLB Opening Night pregame event will include live music.
Fall out boy will play “Uma Thurman,” “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ’em up)” and “Centuries.”
“Wrigley Field has always been a magical place to me,” Peter Wentz, bass player for Fall Out Boy, said in a statement. “In some ways I can chart milestones of my life and growing up there – from going to see Andre Dawson and Ryne Sandberg play, to going with the my dad to one of the first night games they ever had there, to the first time I took the ‘EL’ there on my own for a game with my friends.”
