Led Zeppelin’s massive reissue campaign will come to an end on July 31
Led Zeppelin have been leading a massive reissue campaign, and that will all wrap up on July 31, when the classic rockers will unleash expanded and remastered versions of 1976’s “Presence,” 1979’s “In Through the Out Door” and 1982’s “Coda.”
Jimmy Page remastered and put together the packages, as he did with the reissue of Led Zeppelin’s first six studio albums. The final reissues will be offered in a variety of formats and packages, including deluxe and super deluxe editions packing companion audio discs of never-before-heard material.
Each of these albums hold their own significance. “In Through the Out Door” was the final album the band recorded with John Bonham before his passing in 1980. The companion disc to “In Through the Out Door” comes with unreleased rough mixes of every song from the original album.
The companion disc with “Presence” contains alternate versions of “For Your Life” “Achilles Last Stand” and “Royal Orleans,” and a never-before-heard instrumental track called “10 Ribs & All/Carrot Pod Pod (Pod).”
“Code” arrives with two companion discs, offering 15 tracks recorded between 1968 and 1974. That album was released after Led Zeppelin’s breakup and offers eight unreleased tracks the band recorded between 1970 and 1978.
