Muse’s Chris Wolstenholme Open to a ‘Drones’ Musical
Muse bass player Chris Wolstenholme likes the idea of the band’s latest album becoming a musical
Muse’s new album, “Drones,” arrives this week, and the new music carries the sort of drama and lyrical storytelling that would make for a great musical. So, would the guys of Muse ever take cues from Green Day and consider making “Drones” a musical? Bass player Chris Wolstenholme recently told Australian website Music Feeds he actually likes the idea of the band’s music weaved into a musical.
“I think it would be great to be able to do that at some point!” Wolstenholme said. “I think in the immediate future obviously it’s still an album that the fans haven’t heard, you know, so all we can really think about at this point in time is getting the album out and going on tour.”
He added, “But yeah, it would be great to be able to have it incorporated into some sort of musical or something. It’s not something that we’ve ever done before, it would be very exciting to be a part of it!”
Now that “Drones” is in stores, there’s a good bet a North American tour announcement is coming soon.
