Theory of a Deadman’s Dave Brenner says Carnival of Madness is a ‘great package’

The 2011 Carnival of Madness Tour is in full force, playing shows throughout North America, and according to Theory of a Deadman guitarist Dave Brenner, the guys are pumped– especially to tour with Alter Bridge.

“We’re excited because we felt like if we were going to do a tour like this, that we needed to have a great package. Alter Bridge was a really important part of that,” Brenner told Audio Ink Radio. “We really wanted them to be a part of it. And, of course, Black Stone [Cherry], and Adelitas Way had the No. 1 single at radio recently. Emphatic is great, too. It’s going to be a really fun tour, but I also think the fans are going to be treated to a bunch of great bands.”

Alter Bridge’s Mark Tremonti feels equally close with Theory: “We’ve done lots of shows with Theory of a Deadman, and they’re good dudes,” he said. “It’s always a good time to go out with them, and it’s good to surround yourself with familiar faces. It’s the first time we’re out with Adelitas Way and Emphatic, though. It’s a blast.”

Theory of a Deadman’s latest album, The Truth Is…, debuted No. 9 on the Billboard rock albums chart in July. The album’s first single, “Lowlife,” is currently No. 1 on the active rock chart.

In addition to Theory of a Deadman and Alter Bridge, the 2011 Carnival of Madness tour features Black Stone Cherry, Adelitas Way and Emphatic. Expect a consistent, heavy rock bill, with one energetic band after the next punching out rock hit after rock hit. The jaunt runs through Sept. 18 in Dayton, Ohio. Find tour dates on the festival’s official website.
