Sixx:A.M. Announce New Single, ‘Rise’

Story by Cat Badra
This is the year for new music from Nikki Sixx’s Sixx:A.M.
The Nikki Sixx-founded rock band Sixx:A.M. have announced they will unleash a new single, “Rise,” on March 1. The song will be on the first of two albums Sixx:A.M. are on target to release in 2016.
“We are not a political band but we are extremely reflective,” Sixx said of “Rise” in a message. “During the making of this album, we were under the same media siege as the rest of the world, so ‘Rise’ came out of that and hopefully reminds people that we all have a voice.”
“‘Rise’ to me, is a message of empowerment,” guitarist DJ Ashba added. “It will take on a personal meaning to everyone who hears it, but the message is the same. Whether it’s an individual trying to overcome their own struggles, or a nation as a whole, we can all rise above the negativity, if we stand up for what we believe in.”
In other news, the band is currently plotting a U.S. tour, and fans can vote to have the guys hit their city. To vote, head to SixxAMMusic.com.
