Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody hospitalized; band pulls out of tour

Five Finger Death Punch were slated to open the Australian leg of Black Sabbath’s The End tour next month, but the guys have been forced to pull out of the run. A statement posted by Live Nation Australia reveals that Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Ivan Moody was recently hospitalized in his hometown of Denver, which means the hard rockers have to cancel all of their Australian dates with Black Sabbath, plus two shows they were going to headline there.

The good news is that Moody is going to be fine.

“(Moody) is expected to make a full recovery but it is with deep regret that Five Finger Death Punch will be forced to cancel their appearances in Australia, both with Black Sabbath and as headliners in Sydney and in Melbourne,” the statement says.

Five Finger Death Punch’s dates with Black Sabbath in Australia were scheduled to kick off on April 15 in Perth. They were going to open for five dates of the tour.

“Ivan and Five Finger Death Punch express their sincere apologies to both their fans and to the fans of Black Sabbath,” the statement states.

Five Finger Death Punch will hit the road once again starting on April 30 with an appearance at the Fort Rock festival.
