Radiohead Release New Song ‘Daydreaming,’ Announce New Album
Hear a new Radiohead song, ‘Daydreaming’
Thom Yorke and Radiohead were among the first – if not the first – major label band to go independent and self-release new music by choice back in 2007 with “In Rainbows,” plus only charge fans a pay-what-you-want-download. They’ve always been groundbreaking, and Radiohead are keeping up with that tradition and doing something else unique this weekend: releasing a new album with almost no forewarning.
Radiohead have announced they will unleash their ninth studio album digitally at 2 p.m. ET Sunday (May 8). Given the short notice, details about the music on the new album are scarce. Radiohead haven’t even announced the album’s title. The band has divulged, however, that the set will include the song “Burn the Witch,” plus a new track called “Daydreaming.”
The band has posted the music video for “Daydreaming” via YouTube. Paul Thomas Anderson directed the clip. View the video below.
Radiohead’s upcoming album will arrive in physical format June 17.
