Temple of the Dog Debuts Remastered ‘Hunger Strike’
Hear Temple of the Dog’s ‘Hunger Strike’ remastered
Temple of the Dog has posted a remastered version of its grunge gem “Hunger Strike,” which will arrive on the upcoming reissue of the group’s debut and only album. A stream of the song, which features Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder’s clear croons, is up now via TempleoftheDog.com and on Vevo.
The forthcoming “Temple of the Dog” reissue will pack a bunch of goodies, including the original album remastered, outtakes, demos and alternate mixes. It will arrive on CD, vinyl and digitally, and also be available as a “super deluxe” edition with a DVD of various Temple of the Dog live performances and music videos and a Blu-ray audio disc.
The “Temple of the Dog” reissue will arrive on all formats Sept. 30.
In other news – big news – Temple of the Dog will hit the road on their first-ever tour this fall. All of the group’s original members — Cornell, Matt Cameron, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready — will be on the tour, which kicks off Nov. 4 in Philadelphia. So far, Eddie Vedder is not on the tour, but since he’s wasn’t a full-fledged member of the band, that’s not a big surprise.
Meanwhile, Soundgarden has confirmed they’re working on a new album by posting a Facebook photo of themselves working on new music. “Soundgarden writing session, Seattle, September 2016,” is what the caption states. The upcoming Soundgarden release will mark their follow-up to 2012’s “King Animal.”
