The Misfits Announce New Reunion Gig
Legendary punk group the Misfits has a reunion gig up ahead
Misfits fans certainly have plenty to be happy about right now. The guys reunited briefly last year, and now, the legendary punk-horror band has announced a new one-off concert in Los Angeles.
The Misfits’ upcoming reunion gig will happen Dec. 30 at Los Angeles’ legendary venue, The Forum. And, yes, the is an “Original Misfits” gig.
Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday (Aug. 25) at 12:30 p.m. local time at Misfits.com.
“OK Los Angeles, you’ve waited almost 35 years for this, here’s your chance to see the ‘Original Misfits’ in this exclusive LA-only performance,” frontman Glenn Danzig said in a statement. “No tour, No BS, just one night of dark metal-punk hardcore brutality that will go down in the history books.”
The reunion will feature Danzig, original bass player Jerry Only and longstanding guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein. Those guys performed together for the first time in more than 30 years for the 2016 Riot Fests.
Danzig also has a fall solo tour on the way and fresh tunes, to boot. He released a new album, “Black Laden Crown,” earlier this year.
