Linkin Park to Release ‘One More Light Live,’ Filmed on Band’s Final Tour
Before the tragic death of Chester Bennington in July, Linkin Park traveled far and wide on a world tour to promote their latest studio album, “One More Light.”
Now, in honor of Bennington and his legacy, the group is unleashing a new live record that was recorded during that tour, called “One More Light Live.” The set will arrive on Dec. 15.
“We dedicate this live album to our brother Chester who poured his heart and soul into One More Light,” the band wrote in an official statement. “After we finished recording the album, we joked with Chester that — since he had delivered so many stunning performances in the studio — he had set the bar extra high to produce that alchemy on stage each night. Not surprisingly, he welcomed the challenge.”
“The shows we played together during the early summer of 2017 were extraordinary,” the band added in the statement. “Chester shared with us that he felt this was the best tour we had ever done. The camaraderie and joy we experienced on stage reflected our deep connection with each other, with our fans, and with the music.”
Linkin Park performed at shows throughout Europe and South America during their 2017 world tour. Bennington passed away roughly one week before the group was slated to kick off a North American tour in late July.
