Shinedown will hit the road on a short U.S. run of tour dates this spring. The tour will kick off April 7 in Yakima, Washington, and run through an April 18 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Tickets for the newly announced show go on sale to the general public Friday (Jan. 26) via Shinedown.com.

The first date of the trek will have In This Moment as the opening act, and the final two dates of the run will have Starset in that opening role. Shinedown is also going on tour with In This Moment starting this March in Canada, and that trek features 10 Years also on the bill.

In other news, Shinedown has been hard at work on their new album, which will mark the band’s follow-up to 2015’s “Threat to Survival.”  Threat to Survival. The new album, which is due out later this year, is a heavy one for the guys. “It’s heavier than ‘Threat To Survival’, but it’s fresh, it’s new,” Myers said in a recent interview. “My favorite thing about our band is that we’ve never made the same record twice.” Myers also said that the new album is finished and in the mixing and mastering phase.
