It’s been a minute since System of a Down have toured, but that’s all about to change. The alternative metal band has announced dates for their first U.S. tour since 2015, and the run including a headlining slot at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California.

System of a Down’s short tour will kick off Oct. 13 in San Bernardino, California, and run through an Oct. 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band – which features vocalist Serj Tankian, guitarist and vocalist Daron Malakian, bass player Shavo Odadjian (pictured), drummer John Dolmayan – has been slowing working on their follow-up to 2005’s “Hypnotize.” For ticket information, head to SystemofaDown.com.

As for new music, System of a Down frontman Serj Tanian told Rolling Stone late last year, “We’ve discussed it and we’ve played each other songs, but we still haven’t come eye to eye on how things should be done for us to be able to move forward with it. And that’s where it’s been.”

Meanwhile, Aftershock Festival, which is set for Oct. 13 and 14, will also feature headlining performances from Alice in Chains and Deftones. Other acts booked for the annual festival include Shinedown, Incubus, Godsmack, 311, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, At the Drive In, Seether, Jonathan Davis, Bullet for My Valentine, Underoath, Black Veil Brides, Hellyeah, Asking Alexandria, Sevendust and Bad Wolves.
