Listen to ‘Bringer of War,’ the have new track from Mark Tremonti’s band, Tremonti

Tremonti, the band fronted by Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge and Creed, gets extra heavy on a new song called “Bringer of War.” The track, which features relentless guitars and pummeling rhythms, will arrive on the band’s upcoming album, “A Dying Machine” and is currently available for digital download.

“I’m gonna light up the world,” the lyrics of “Bringer of War” proclaim. “Then I’m gonna blacken the skies. Your shelter will burn to the ground…” The song also features dissonant vocals harmonies and sky-high guitar soloing.

“Bringer of War” is the opening track on the record and gives fans a glimpse at what to expect from A Dying Machine, which “takes place at the turn of the next century, where humans and fabricated beings called ‘vessels’ are trying to co-exist,” according to a release. The album is the first concept album of Tremonti’s career, and “the music is inspired by a story that came to Mark while on the last Alter Bridge tour. During that time, the epic title track ‘A Dying Machine’ was born.”

Tremonti – which features Treminti alongside band mates Eric Friedman (guitar, bass) and Garrett Whitlock (drums) – will embark on a European tour this summer to promote the new album. The trek runs from a June 17 show in Florence, Italy, through an Aug. 2 appearance in Wacken, Germany, at the annual Wacken Open Air festival. Tremonti is expected to announce North American tour dates behind “A Dying Machine” shortly. For information on the upcoming tour and new album, head to Tremonti’s official website.

“A Dying Machine” will hit stores on June 8. The album will arrive on Napalm Records. Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy also recently unleashed a new album on Napalm Records, called “Year of the Tiger.”
