Shock rocker Alice Cooper appears in two TV ads for the Dodge Durango SUV

Alice Cooper is the star of two new TV commercials for the Dodge Durango, and the ads also promote Apple’s CarPlay technology. Both commercials depict an assistant given the job of finding some random items for an unknown employer, who turns out to be the Coop.

The assistant jumps into a Dodge Durango and rocks out to the Alice Cooper song “Under My Wheels,” with the track blasting out of the Durango’s speakers. He then uses the Durango’s Siri system to track down a local beauty supply store, florist, grocery store and a few other shops.

At each store, the assistant picks up some black-colored items, everything from black balloons to black nail polish. The assistant also stops at a pet store. In one commericial, he purchases a goat and a box covered with a black sheet. In the other commercial, he just picks up the goat.

At the end of the first commercial, the assistant is spotted in a dressing room with the newly-purchased black items and holding a stack of pizzas. Cooper appears, looks around the room and says, “Nice!” And also asks, “Where’s the boas?” After giving the pizzas to the Coop, the assistant goes back to the vehicle and attempts to get a huge snake out of his trunk.

At the end of the second ad, the assistant is in the dressing room, trying to arrange the black items when the Coop enters with his legendary boa constrictor around his neck. Cooper looks around and says, “Wow! What’s with all the black?”

The Alice Coopers ads are part of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles summer campaign to promote the company’s different lines of vehicles: Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Ram and Fiat. Cooper is one of 10 musical artists that are part of the campaign, with others including OneRepublic, Brothers Osborne and Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am.
