Flaw just got a new van for touring thanks to ‘Late Show’ host Stephen Colbert

Louisville, Kentucky, rockers Flaw have a new band van thanks to Stephen Colbert. It all started earlier this year, when Colbert brought up the band on the “Late Show” when discussing a proposed crowdfunding campaign to construct President Donald Trump’s border wall. In the bit, Colbert compared that prospect to Flaw’s very real crowdfunding campaign to purchase a new van.

Fast-forward to last week, and Colbert pointed out that even with the exposure, Flaw did not garner the $15,000 they needed to purchase that van. “After that shout out from me, you the ‘Late Show’ community stepped up and agreed that you don’t care if Flaw needs a van,” he said, jokingly.

Well, since Flaw was still in need of a van, Colbert bought it for the band. Colbert event posted a video of him giving the van to Flaw and suggesting they deck it out with “metal” accessories, showing a cute cat and pink pillows. Colbert also filmed a music video with Flaw for their latest single, “Conquer This Climb,” which has him rocking out and headbanging while Flaw performs in front of their beautiful new van.

“This is truly a huge milestone for Flaw!” the band said in a statement. “Thank you to everyone that is a part of ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ crew! They really made it a fun experience for us and thank you to all the Flaw family and Flaw fans for the support! Stay tuned for some great things in the future!”
