We Came as Romans’ Kyle Pavone Died of ‘Accidental Overdose,’ Charity Created in His Honor
The Kyle Pavone Foundation will ‘serve and advocate for the musician community in their time of greatest need’
The family of Kyle Pavone has created a special charity organization to recognize the late We Came as Romans vocalist. The organization, called the Kyle Pavone Foundation, has the goal to “serve and advocate for the musician community in their time of greatest need, providing hope and a means to carry on.” For more information on the organization and to donate, head to KylePavoneFoundation.org.
Pavone passed away last Saturday, Aug. 25, at the young age of 28. His cause of death, according to a statement from the band, was an “accidental overdose.”
“On Saturday August 25, we lost our son, our brother, our best fried and our band mate to an accidental overdose,” the statement explains. “The opposite of addiction is connection. If you are feeling disconnected or lost, there is help. Please take action, whether that is talking to your families and friends, meeting with a counselor or joining a support group. If you are a friend of a family member of someone who is struggling, do not be silent!”
We Came As Romans will also “celebrate Kyle’s life” at a public event in October in their hometown of Detroit. Information about the event will be published on KylePavoneFoundation.org.
Pavone posthumously appears on a new track called “Frequency” by electronic musician Jauz. The song is on Jauz’s new album, “The Wise and the Wicked,” which dropped yesterday (Aug. 31).
