Metallica Getting the Funko Pop! Treatment with ‘Lady Justice’ Toy

Metallica’s “Lady Justice” from the band’s “…And Justice for All” album is being made into a toy

Toy maker Funko is known for crafting Pop! vinyl figures based on popular musicians and celebrities, and Metallica is no exception. Now, the company has crafted a special Pop! vinyl figure in the likeness of the cover artwork for Metallica’s 1988 album “…And Justice for All.”

The toy features the blind “Lady Justice” from Metallica’s album cover grasping a sword and the scales of justice in the same way that it appears on the famed album’s cover. The toy will hit stores on Oct. 15 and is currently available for pre-order at Metallica’s official website.

The Funko Pop! figure comes just a few weeks before Metallica is set to release an expanded reissue of “…And Justice for All” on Nov. 2, to boot.

This isn’t Metallica’s first Funko Pop! treatment. Previously, all four members of the metal band were turned into Funko Pop! figures.

In other news, during a recent Metallica concert in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the band had a frightening moment when guitarist Kirk Hammett fell down on the stage. Thankfully, everything was fine with Hammett, and he quickly stood up and continued playing, but the incident gave an opening to band mate Lars Ulrich to make fun of Hammett’s unfortunate incident.

On his Instagram account, Ulrich posted a video of Hammett’s fall, plus a video of Ulrich imitating the spill and, overall, making fun of Hammett. “Careful in Sioux FALLS (geddit!?),” Ulrich wrote in the caption.

Metallica is on the road to promote their latest album, 2016’s “Hardwired…to Self-Destruct.” They’re scheduled to remain on tour through March of 2019.
