Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins  will honor their 30th anniversary with a handful of U.S. tour dates

The Smashing Pumpkins are celebrating their 30th anniversary with a selection of headlining U.S. tour dates, set for this fall. The special, short run will kick off Nov. 28 in Madison, Wisconsin, and run through a Dec. 7 show in Phoenix. Tickets for the Pumpkins anniversary tour went on sale Friday (Oct. 5) and are available via SmashingPumpkins.com.

The newly-announced tour dates are an add-on to the Smashing Pumpkins’ 30th anniversary concert in Holmdel, New Jersey, which the band performed that summer. That show featured some big-named guests, including Chino Moreno of Deftones, AFI singer Davey Havok and Courtney Love. There’s no announcement yet on whether the new dates will also bring guest musicians, but knowing frontman Billy Corgan, he has something special planned for the tour.

The anniversary concerts come at the heels of the band’s just-concluded Shiny and Oh So Bright tour, which brought Smashing Pumpkins original members Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin together for the first time in about two decades. The reunited Pumpkins will also unleash their first album together in 18 years, called “Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1/LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun.,” on Nov. 16.

In other news, Corgan and his partner Chloe Mendel just welcomed a new baby girl. “Please welcome Philomena Clementine Corgan, the latest addition to our family!” Corgan wrote with an Instagram photo of the couple’s two-year-old son, Augustus Juppiter, holding his new baby sister.
