Artists nominated for the Rock Hall in 2019 include Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, the Cure and more

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has unleashed the nominees for induction in 2019, and six of the 15 acts are being nominated for the first time: Def Leppard, Stevie Nicks, Todd Rundgren, Devo, Roxy Music and John Prine.

Additional acts up for the Rock Hall honor include Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, The Cure, The Zombies, Janet Jackson, MC5, Kraftwerk, LL Cool J and Rufus & Chaka Khan. All of those artists and bands have been nominated at least once in the past.

Nicks is being nominated for induction into the Rock Hall as a solo artist. She is already a member of the Hall from being inducted with Fleetwood Mac. If she makes the cut as a solo artist, Nicks will be the first female artist ever to make it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.

Beginning today (Oct. 9) and running through Dec. 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET, fans can vote for their Rock Hall picks at RockHall.com. The top five acts picked by fans will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be included with all of the other ballots.

The official list of 2019 inductees will be announced in December. A voting body of more than 1,000 artists, music historians and music industry insiders will select the acts.

The 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for March 29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
