Disturbed and Greta Van Fleet Debut Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Chart

Disturbed and Greta Van Fleet has brought heavy music into the Billboard 200 chart this week

Congratulations are in order for two rock bands, one new and one veteran, as albums from Disturbed and Greta Van Fleet debuted inside the top five on the Billboard 200 chart this week.

Michigan band Greta Van Fleet’s debut studio album, “Anthem of the Peaceful Army,” entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 3 and sold 87,000 equivalent album units, 80,000 of which were traditional album sales. Chicago rockers Disturbed earned a No. 4 showing on the Billboard 200 chart with their latest full-length album, “Evolution,” pushing 71,000 units, 65,000 of which were traditional album sales.

While this was the debut album for Greta Van Fleet and, Disturbed is hardly a newbie on the Billboard 200 chart. The band’s previous five records all entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1, from 2002’s “Believe” to 2015’s “Immortalized.” That’s a record, as the only other bands that have achieved that showing are Metallica and the Dave Matthews Band.

The guys of Greta Van Fleet are currently touring Europe to promote “Anthem of the Peaceful Army” and will be back in the U.S. in December for a run of shows. Disturbed will hit the road on a massive world tour to support “Evolution” in January of 2019.
