The masked metal men of Slipknot are back with their first new song since 2014’s “.5: The Gray Chapter”

Slipknot’s dark, menacing metal music makes for the perfect Halloween soundtrack, and in that spirit, Corey Taylor and company have premiered a new song  on Halloween. The track, named “All Out Life,” is available for purchase via digital outlets. Listen to the eerie track below.

“All Out Life” marks Slipknot’s first bit of new music since they released their 2014 album, “.5: The Gray Chapter.” The band has been toiling away on a new album, which is expected to hit stores in 2019. Taylor has previously stated that the new music sounds extremely heavy and “Iowa” levels of heavy, referencing the band’s 2001 album, “Iowa.”

Slipknot will also tour extensively next year. The band has booked a European tour for June and a major, home state performance headlining the Iowa State Fair, which they have never played before, in August.

Taylor spent much of this year with his other band, Stone Sour, on the road in support of their latest album, “Hydrograd.” He told Audio Ink Radio of the brotherhood of Stone Sour, “The thing is, we had never really been apart. During all of the breaks and everything.”

He added, “we would get together and we would work on all of the material, whether it was the new material for this album or doing the covers for the ‘Burbank’ stuff or just hanging out. We just really enjoy hanging out together.”
