Linkin Park’s ‘Numb’ Music Video Hits One Billion Views
Roughly 15 years after it was released, Linkin Park’s “Numb” music video has reached one billion views
It’s been out for more than a decade now, and now, Linkin Park’s music video for “Numb” has inched its way past the one billion views mark on YouTube.
“Our music video for ‘Numb’ just passed 1 BILLION views on @YouTube,” the band tweeted this week. “Thank you for all the support over the years!”
Linkin Park DJ Joe Hahn directed the music video for “Numb.” The track is off the rap-rock group’s 2003 sophomore album, “Meteora,” and was one of the most popular singles off that album, hitting No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative and Mainstream Rock Songs charts. “Numb” was also remixed for a collaboration with rapper JAY-Z, “Numb/Encore.”
Linkin Park performed “Numb” last year at a special Chester Bennington tribute event in Los Angeles. Bennington committed suicide in July of 2017.
In other news, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park released his debut solo album, “Post-Traumatic,” earlier this year. Shinoda is currently on a North American headlining tour in support of the album, and the next stop is Nov. 11 at the House of Blues in Chicago.
