Greta Van Fleet, Robert Plant, Imagine Dragons, Jay-Z and More Set for Woodstock 50
Woodstock 50 will feature more than 80 performers, both newer acts and artists that performed at the original Woodstock
Greta Van Fleet, Robert Plant and the Sensational Shape Shifters, Imagine Dragons and the Killers are among the acts confirmed for the Woodstock 50 Music and Arts Fair this summer.
Some original Woodstock ’69 performers have been tapped for 2019 event, too, including Santana and the Grateful Dead spinoff band Dead & Company, John Fogerty, Canned Heat, David Crosby and Friends, Country Joe McDonald, John Sebastian and Melanie.
Other major acts set for the lineup include Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, Chance the Rapper, the Raconteurs, the Black Keys, Sturgill Simpson, Portugal. the Man, the Lumineers and Gary Clark Jr.
“We’ve lined up artists who won’t just entertain but will remind the world that music has the power to bring people together, to heal, to move us to action and to tell the stories of a generation,” said Michael Lang, who co-founded the 1969 festival and produced the 2019 Woodstock festivals. “Our hope is that today, just as in 1969, music will be the constant that can inspire positive change.”
All in all, Woodstock 50 will feature more than 80 musical performers. The festival is scheduled for Aug. 16 through 18 at Watkins Glen International Speedway in Watkins Glen, New York, which is roughly an hour and a half away from the original place of the 1969 Woodstock festival.
