A number of artists from a spectrum of the music world including Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age have signed a petition in support of the #BansOffMyBody campaign, spearheaded by Planned Parenthood.

A full-page ad featuring the signatures of almost 140 musicians who have signed the petition is running in the newest issue of Billboard magazine.

The campaign, according to a press release, has the goal to raise awareness about “the harm of sweeping bans on access to safe, legal abortion and affirm that no one is free unless they control their own body.”

“With their help, Planned Parenthood and our supporters will keep fighting to ensure that our patients — and people across the country — can still access reproductive and sexual health care, no matter what,” Alexis McGill Johnson, Planned Parenthood’s acting president and CEO, said in a statement.

Additional musicians and bands who have signed the petition include Beck, The 1975, Band of Horses, Billie Eilish, Third Eye Blind, CHVRCHES, Death Cab for Cutie, The Distillers, Grouplove, HAIM, Heart, Fiona Apple, K.Flay, Kim Gordon, morgxn, The National, Phantogram, Portugal. the Man, Sleater-Kinney, Spoon, St. Vincent and X Ambassadors.

The petition is active and available to sign at IStandwithPP.org. The campaign aims to collect a half a million signatures in time for the anniversary of Roe v. Wade in January of 2020.
