Foo Fighters Cover the B-52s, Psychedelic Furs on Latest EP

The latest archival EP from Foo Fighters features live recordings of the band covering the B-52s and Psychedelic Furs

Over the past few months, Foo Fighters have been releasing some of their archived material in the form of surprise digital EPs, and the guys just released another one. This time around, the band is offering some live versions of cover tunes.

The four-track EP, which is available now via digital platforms and can be heard here, has Dave Grohl and company performing a live cover of the popular The B-52s track, “Planet Claire,” which the band in New York City in 2002.

The rest of the EP offers a cover of “Sister Europe” by The Psychedelic Furs, a song from the soundtrack to the 2002 film “Orange County” called “The One” and a B-side called “Win or Lose.”

In addition to the EPs of archived Foo Fighters material that band has been releasing this year, the band has also kicked off a Foo Fighters Story campaign, which asks fans to submit a story about what the Foos means to you.

When it comes to new music, Grohl recently announced that the band was starting work on their new album. The news came during a gig at Brazil’s Rock In Rio festival in September, where Grohl said to the crowd, “I don’t know when we’ll be back down here again, but we will. We go home next week and we start making a new Foo Fighters record. It’s good, it’s good.”

The upcoming album will mark the band’s follow-up to 2017’s “Concrete and Gold”
