Green Day to Perform on ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest’
A new decade is less than a month away, and Green Day is one of the performers who will ring in 2020 on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” television special
“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” is an annual tradition, and the television special will ring in a new decade with a performance from Billie Joe Armstrong and the guys of Green Day.
Green Day, so far, is the act bringing the most rock to the event. They’ll perform on the West Coast portion of the Dec. 31 special, which will be hosted from Hollywood by popular R&B artist Ciara. Other artists and bands performing at the West Coast portion of the special include indie rockers SHAED; pop stars Paula Abdul and Dua Lipa; country performers Dan + Shay and Kelsea Ballerini; and rappers Salt-N-Pepa and Megan Thee Stallion. The program starts at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
While Ciara will host the West Coast part of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” Ryan Seacrest will host more performances from New York City’s Times Square with co-host Lucy Hale, and the two will count down to midnight and watch the ball drop. Meanwhile, Billy Porter will host the New Orleans part of the show and count down to midnight in the Central Time Zone.
Performers for New York and New Orleans will be announced closer to the show.
