Five Finger Death Punch Guitarist Jason Hook Recovering After Gallbladder Surgery
Jason Hook from Five Finger Death Punch is taking it easy after a successful surgery to remove his gallbladder
Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook is recovering in the hospital after a successful surgery to remove his gallbladder.
The band originally had to postpone their show Thursday, Dec. 12, in Duluth, Minn., as Hook was rushed to the hospital. Later, the band’s dates for Dec. 14 and 15 in Nebraska and Iowa, respectively, were also postponed. Make-up dates for all of the concerts are expected to be announced soon.
Hook took to Instagram to announced that he’s better, posting a photo in a hospital bed with headphones on. He wrote, “Well that sucked! Gallbladder went #kaput … sorry Duluth MN, some things you just can’t control… We’ll be back to kick some ass, and make up the other dates as soon as we can! I very much appreciate all the kind notes of caring and support. One thing I know for sure is we have the greatest fan base of all time! Long live the #knuckleheads.”
Next up, Five Finger Death Punch will head to Europe in January for a headlining tour with Megadeth and Bad Wolves, and then come back to the U.S. in April for dates with Papa Roach, I Prevail and Ice Nine Kills.
The Las Vegas rock band’s new album, “F8,” will arrive on Feb. 28. If the album’s first single, “Inside Out,” is a good indication of the direction of the new record, it will be heavy. Listen to the new song here.
